Early Life and Education:

Born on July 17, 1958, in the town of Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh, India, she spent her childhood in a business family and was introduced to literature at a young age. Growing up, Hansa Deep was surrounded by books and literature, which inspired her to pursue a career in writing. Hansa Deep obtained her Bachelor's in Arts, Master's in Hindi Literature, and a Ph.D. in Sondhwadi folklore from Vikram University, Ujjain, India. She further pursued her writing aspirations by attending Queens College in New York and Centennial College in Toronto.

 

Career as a Novelist:

Hansa Deep's first novel, "Band Mutthi," was published in 2017 and immediately gained critical acclaim.
